On a bright sunny saturday afternoon at Dickson the U16's showed a vastly improved performance against Marist-Olympic and despite eventually going down 3-1 to the more fancied side many positives could be taken from the game for City

Within the first ten minutes Marist took the lead from a a general mix up of pin ball proportions in City's 18 yard box but when Nick Bobolas scored City's first goal of the season it looked as though the tide had turn.

On a dry and dusty pitch it was a bit of a lottery as to where the ball would bounce at times, and Marist again got the asendcy before half time when some neat forwrd work was not cut out by the City defense.

In the second half the City lads picked up the pace and played with more strength and purpose frustrating the Marist forwards and launching counterattacks of their own.

Both sides had a couple of chances to score but it was marist who finished the game off close to full time when their striker got between two of the City defenders to score their third. final score city 1 Marist 3.

best for City were Jack Barr and Niall Mahon.
