City was back in the top four after a hard fought draw against the Blue Devils.
The game saw the return of former Belconnen player Marc O'Neil. City's goal came courtesy of another head shot from non other than David Dexter</description>

		<title>MIN SUBS AT GAMES</title>
		<link>http://www.canberracityfc.com/news/lou-gaspari-joins-coaching-staff.html</link>
		<description>

The Canberra Times had it absolutely correct in their short Sunday report.
City was ruthless in front of goal.
Last Saturdays results for the club were fantastic.
Having watched all four grades in a very long day, everyone is to be congratulated.
I haven&amp;rsquo;t seen such passion and determination for a while in all grades.
The U16 kicked off the day in marvellous fashion, having been locked at 1-1 at the break,
they displayed an inspiring 20 minutes of free flowing attacking football from the beginning of the second half
to finally win 5-1. Is this the same team? Whatever you&amp;rsquo;re saying to them at half time Fonz keep doing it.
When the U18&amp;rsquo;s went behind 0-1 the lads looked a little shaky but after the equalizer it was all City and only
A gutsy classy save from the Tuggers keeper saved a point for them. A great fight and one of the best U18
Games this season.
In the pathways guts and determination were also to the for&amp;rsquo;.
Mr. Potential, Adam Johnson, finally showed us the skill he is capable of with a superb free kick that turned
a good metre and dipped into the net. Their keeper never had a chance.
Can he do the same for 90 minutes? I&amp;rsquo;m happy for him to do it for 45.
The fighting spirit lasted all game and a well deserved and crucial 3 points.
And what can we say about the first team effort?
Tempo, passing, strength, urgency, commitment, a hunger for the goal all was too overwhelming for a Tuggers side
that was making a come back after some good results.
I think everyone will be looking forward to the trip to Cooma.

with assistance from local sponsors Macdonald's a new feature at Canberra City's games will be the presence of the Mini Subs.
These are the Gungahlin Junior Football Club players who act as ball boys/girls for City's Premier League matches.
Michael and Missy Moscaritolo model the new mini subs uniforms at the recent City v monaro match.

Phase 1 Summer Training 2009/2010 CCFC Premier League teams.

The Yellow Submarines are back!!
On the 8th December there will be a relay race (teams of 8) at Parliament House followed by a few drinks and barby.

All runs are organised by the ACT Cross Country Club so there will be plenty of other runners to chase (for more info you can go to (www.canberrarunner.com.au). Those who ran in last years Christmas Relay will have an idea of what this is about - look for your name in the Results section of the above website if you are interested).

It is important that all players are fit (aerobically) when formal pre-season training starts in January (12 January). Practice games (Granville, Monaro and STAFC) are likely to begin approx. a fortnight after training commences. For those hoping to break into the team(s), move up the selection pecking order or, express your enthusiasm to be involved with City, all you have to do is be there.

		<title>2009 Season a Huge Success</title>
		<link>http://www.canberracityfc.com/news/2008-season.html</link>
		<description>

Canberra City topped off a mighty 2009 season with the announcement at Capital Football's Presentation Night that
City's first grade coach Pat Caggiano was awarded 2009 Mens Premier League Coach of the Year.
Adding to this great recognition was City's striker Pat Ross-Magee who took out the ACT Mens Player of the Year and
towering defender James Perry named in third spot in the top five best players in ACT's Premier League.
With both players pledging their allegiance to City's 2010 campaign and most of the remaining 2009 squad keen to pull
on the 'yellow submarines' shirt, and with the backing of Gungahlin United FC on the junior front, 2010 looks like a season
to get excited about.
